TWI was among 14 companies to offer support at the latest Engineering Skills Day that took place on 2nd February 2018 at Swansea Bay Campus.  The annual event, organised by Swansea University, provided engineering students access to networking opportunities with industry and real life employers across various disciplines.   Company talks, mock interviews and mock assessment centres provided students with knowledge and skills designed to improve different aspects of their employability and gain experience in starting a career. The event was a huge success, delivering real life recruitment scenarios to around 45 students.

Dr Ian Nicholson, Consultant and Team Manager at TWI Technology Centre based in Port Talbot said,

“It was a pleasure to return and support the Engineering Employability Skills Dayfor a consecutive year. In a competitive employment market, getting the job you really want can be difficult. It is so important to make sure that our young people have all the skills and confidence required to help them take that first career step.”
