We would like to introduce you to TWI’s new Artificial Intelligence Engineer, Reyam Enad, who recently joined the Advanced Engineering Materials Research Institute (AEMRI) based at TWI Technology Centre (Wales), where she is working on the deployment of artificial intelligence for solving non-destructive testing problems.
TWI has been closely involved in a number of projects related to the development of A.I. solutions for industry and is striving to bring this digital transformation to future non-destructive testing (NDT) solutions ranging from automatic defect recognition and classification to robot guidance for deployment of NDT probes.
Reyam has a BSc in Computer Science, worked as a software engineer and, in 2020, completed an MSc in Artificial Intelligence.
Asking Reyam what attracted her to the position at TWI, she responded, “A.I. is in its early days with respect to NDT, and by joining TWI I feel I can make breakthroughs in the application of the technology and become a leading scientist in the area of A.I. and machine learning for NDT.”
A warm welcome to TWI, Reyam!
